Group Surf Lessons

Catch epic waves! Available year-round, we offer two-hour private group surf lessons for groups of nine people or more (adults and children aged 5+). Get your team, company, family, friends, or other group wet!

Fees include all the equipment you’ll need (like a surfboard and wetsuit). While summer surf camp is in session, you can use the equipment all day long which means your group can stay and enjoy the beauty of Zuma Beach while you practice the skills you’ve learned in class. Extra instructors and transportation for your group are available at an additional cost.

Safety is our primary concern, which is why we have a 1:6 instructor to student ratio for group classes. This ratio may change depending on the age, height and weight of the members of your group. This ensures that our teachers can provide quality instruction and one-on-one time with each member of your group.

Malibu Makos Facts

Started in 1991 by Tom Corliss, Malibu Makos Surf Club is now widely known as Southern California’s premier kids’ surf camp. Makos also offers Saturday surf camp, individual and group surf lessons, private beach parties and corporate events, and private lifeguard services.
